Description
The SAVAKNIFE “Cai Dao” is inspired by the traditional Chinese chef’s knife — a blade favored for its speed, versatility, and effortless performance in daily kitchen work. With its broad profile and balanced weight, this knife is engineered to slice, chop, crush, and transfer ingredients with the efficiency of a true professional tool.
Forged from EN 1.4116 stainless steel, hardened to 58–59 HRC, and ground to 0.2 mm behind the edge, the blade delivers clean, aggressive sharpness while maintaining long-term stability. Every Cai Dao is fully hand-sharpened to ensure smooth, resistance-free cutting whether working with vegetables, herbs, or boneless meats.
The wide blade (80 mm) enhances productivity and offers a practical surface for transferring chopped ingredients directly from board to pan — one of the defining strengths of the Chinese kitchen knife form.
- Oak Wood with Metal Pins — octagonal for secure, confident grip; treated with tung oil and polished with carnauba wax for durability and comfort.
- Fast chopping of vegetables, herbs, and fruits
- Cutting boneless meat and fish
- Crushing garlic, ginger, or spices
- Scooping and transferring ingredients with the wide blade
Advantages:
- High productivity thanks to the wide, stable blade
- Versatile cutting performance for most daily kitchen tasks
